Introducing Ashley, the founder of Lumin Accountancy, who launched the firm in 2014 after a rich decade-long career in both practice-based and large, industry-focused businesses. His guiding principle has always been to harness technology, streamline client processes, and, above all, add tangible value to their businesses. A qualified member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants since 2010, Ashley obtained his practicing certificate in 2014, marking the beginning of a new chapter in his professional journey.

Ashley’s vast experience includes a significant tenure at Parkdean Holidays as a Regional Financial Controller for Wales and South East England, managing financial activities for over 28 sites and contributing to 40% of the group’s operations. His role involved enhancing profitability and refining financial reporting, working in tandem with the Regional Director and Site Managers. He further honed his skills at a major motor dealer franchise, overseeing a turnover of over £75m, where he implemented efficiency improvements and a revamped management accounts model focussed on Key Performance Indicators and business profitability.

Ashley’s hobbies include running and following his favourite football team. He is trying to get in to gardening, but his green thumb adventures are another story. Unfortunately his plants are as unpredictable as the stock market. By his own confession, he’s more successful at growing mystery plants than the intended ones.
